Terms of Service
The rules for using everything—hardware.
A plain-language draft pending a lawyer's review. It describes how the product works today; it is not yet binding.
What everything—hardware is
everything—hardware is a free educational tool for engineering students. It does three things: it indexes and links to third-party learning resources (videos, courses, articles) and adds our own annotations and summaries; it provides original practice labs; and it points you to tools. We route you to content — we do not host other people's copyrighted files.
Using the service
- It's for personal, educational use. Use it to learn; don't resell, redistribute, or pass it off as your own.
- Don't abuse it — no scraping, automated bulk access, attempts to break or overload it, or use that violates the law.
- External resources we link to belong to their owners and are governed by their terms, not ours. Your use of a linked video or course is between you and that provider.
Who owns what
Our labs, annotations, summaries, curation, and the site itself are original works owned by everything—hardware. The external resources we index remain the property of their respective owners; we claim no ownership of them and link to them under the "search engine" posture — indexing, linking, and our own descriptions.
Contributions
When contributions open (proposed labs, resource suggestions), by submitting you will (a) grant us a license to display and distribute your contribution within the service, and (b) confirm that you have the rights to it. Do not submit confidential, leaked, or copyrighted material you don't own — including private or past exam content.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is," for educational purposes. It is not professional, academic, or certification advice, and we don't guarantee it is complete, accurate, or available without interruption.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product grows; material changes will be noted here. Questions: hello@everything-hardware.com [contact address to be confirmed]. See also our Privacy Policy and Copyright & Takedown policy.
