Our approach

The house rule is simple: link, don't host; annotate, don't excerpt. everything—hardware points to resources on their original sites and adds our own summaries and timestamps — we do not store or re-serve other people's files. If you believe we are linking to, or displaying, material that infringes your rights, we want to fix it quickly.

Reporting a concern

Send a notice to our designated agent copyright@everything-hardware.com [designated agent registration pending] including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you're concerned about.
• The exact location on everything—hardware (the URL) of the link, annotation, or material at issue.
• Your name, address, and a way to contact you.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

We review valid notices and act promptly — typically by removing the link, annotation, or material in question. Because we link rather than host, the fastest remedy is usually removing our reference to the source.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with your contact information, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, of your good-faith belief that it was removed in error.
