Privacy Policy
What we store, and where it lives.
A plain-language draft pending a lawyer's review. It describes the product as it works today, and flags what will change when accounts arrive.
Today: your data stays in your browser
Right now everything—hardware is a static site with no accounts. The things you'd expect us to remember — which labs you've solved, your light/dark theme, "notify me" on a tool, and which searches or shelves you've flagged — are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They stay on your device and are not sent to a server we control. Clear your browser storage and they're gone.
We don't require an account, and we don't collect your name, email, or personal information on our servers today.
Third-party embeds
Pages may link to or embed third-party content (for example YouTube). Those providers set their own cookies and collect data under their privacy policies when you interact with their content — that's outside our control.
When accounts launch (planned)
We plan to add optional accounts so your progress syncs across devices. When that happens, this policy will be updated before the feature ships to describe, at minimum:
- What we collect — an email address for sign-in (magic link), and your saved progress.
- Product analytics — privacy-respecting, aggregate usage (which searches return nothing, which tools are wanted), to decide what to build. Never sold.
- Your rights — how to access or delete your data, and how long we keep it. We'll address GDPR and children's-privacy (COPPA) obligations where they apply.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't collect more than we need to run the product.
